Law enforcement agencies stay busy handling everything from cross-jurisdictional warrants to commercial property crimes. If you are visiting the area from out of town, knowing local updates can help you plan your stay safely.

The Cincinnati Arrest

On September 7, local authorities took a 20-year-old Cincinnati man into custody at the Bloomfield Police Department. He faced outstanding warrants originating from both Secaucus and Lumberton.

Fortunately, the individual posted bail totaling $6,000 for the active warrants. Following the financial transaction, he was promptly released pending further court appearances.

Walmart Shoplifting Incident

Moving along to September 8, officers responded swiftly to a reported shoplifting incident at a local retail store. Two women were taken into custody during this particular afternoon response.

Route 3 Incidents and Traffic Stops

Highway corridors and local roadways frequently see active police responses throughout any given week. Understanding how traffic and transit intersect with local crime helps locals navigate getting around the metro area efficiently.

Liquor Store Pursuit

On September 9, police investigated a theft report at Rt. 3 East Liquors. Officers quickly tracked down the fleeing suspect near Route 3 East.

The suspect was identified as 33-year-old Adm Andrews hailing from Fort Worth, Texas. He reportedly refused multiple police commands to stop walking.

Consequently, Andrews faced multiple charges including shoplifting and resisting arrest. He was also charged with obstructing the administration of law before receiving a court summons.

Early Morning Motor Vehicle Stop

Early on September 11 at approximately 3:54 a.m., a routine traffic stop took a serious turn. A 36-year-old North Bergen man was arrested for hindering apprehension.

Authorities stated that the driver provided false identifying information to the officers. Misleading law enforcement during a traffic stop carries immediate legal penalties.

Union City Warrant Transfer

Later that same day at roughly 4:05 p.m., another traffic stop occurred. This stop resulted in the apprehension of a 60-year-old Union City man.

The driver possessed an unbailable warrant issued out of Union City. He was issued two motor vehicle summonses and transferred directly to neighboring authorities.

DWI Arrest on Green Valley Court

Impaired driving continues to be a major focus for regional police departments striving to protect motorists. Whether you are exploring local attractions or checking out things to do, road safety remains paramount.

Weekend Collision Response

On September 13, emergency authorities responded directly to a reported car crash on Green Valley Court. Upon investigating, officers suspected driver impairment at the scene.

A 31-year-old North Bergen man was subsequently arrested for driving while intoxicated. He received two separate motor vehicle summonses for the traffic infractions.

Following the processing procedure, the driver was released safely into the custody of a responsible adult. As always, all individuals listed in the police blotter are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
