# Jersey City‘s Indo American Senior Citizens Celebrate America’s 249th Independence Day

Jersey City’s Indo American Senior Citizens Association (IASCA) pulled off a lively Independence Day celebration that brought together more than 300 seniors. The day was full of energy, blending patriotism with a real sense of community pride.

Flag-raising ceremonies, honored guests, and cultural performances filled the atmosphere. The event really showed off the multicultural spirit that makes Jersey City feel so alive.

A Gathering of Community Leaders and Distinguished Guests

IASCA Chairman Jatinder Bakshi led the charge, turning the event into a major community happening. President Dipak Valsadia and Stage Director Dinesh Pandya made sure everything ran smoothly, kicking things off with a flag-raising and a heartfelt national anthem by Durga Aindiri Ankum and Vaibhav Ankum.

Hudson County Commissioner William Ode joined in too. Folks like Vice Chairman Kirti (Kenny) Desai and Trustees Onkar Singh and Balvant Patel attended, along with doctors and other community leaders who’ve helped shape Jersey City’s diverse culture.

Addressing Community Needs and Future Plans
