At 50, Hill manages a network of 12 branches, two bookmobiles, 170 staff members, and a $21.5 million annual budget. That’s no small feat.
He started at Alexander Central High School, then earned degrees in Sociology and Political Science from Appalachian State University. Later, he picked up a Library Science degree from UNC-Chapel Hill.
