The Statue of Liberty National Monument was completed on October 28, 1886. From the base to the top of the torch, she is 151 feet high. The exterior structure of the Statue is made of copper and the interior support structure is made of steel. Her official name isLiberty Enlightening the World.
The Ellis Island Immigration Museum is an important and iconic part of America's history. Over 12 million passed through the island while it was in operation. Today, more than 40% of Americans have an ancestor who entered the country through Ellis Island.
