To celebrate the Westin Jersey City Newport's debut on The Real Housewives of New Jersey, the hotel will host a screening party in the Half Moon Lounge, open to the public, in honor of all things Jersey. In late October 2009, Teresa Giudice of The Real Housewives, and her husband Joe visited the hotel for a romantic evening celebrating their wedding anniversary. Highlights of the screening party include the opportunity for guests to walk the red carpet and sample small plates of the dinner courses prepared for Teresa and Joe during their anniversary stay at the hotel. Happy hour discounts will be available on all alcoholic drinks in the Half Moon lounge, including the wine featured during the show and a custom-created Jersey Bling cocktail with Van Gogh Acai-Blueberry Vodka, Blue Curacao, pineapple juice and lemon lime soda or the Jersey Girl cocktail, the hotel's version of spiked strawberry-basil lemonade. Additionally, during the screening, guests will enjoy movie theatre favorites -- buttery popcorn and sugary snacks galore. The hotel will also be holding a 'How Jersey Are You?' costume contest with prizes for: the Biggest Jersey Hair and The Real Housewives of New Jersey Look-A-Like Contest.
